When an end user and potential customer is searching for a service or a product they most likely use a search engine such as Google (~63%), Microsoft / “Bing” (~24%) or Oath / “Yahoo” (~11%). [See detailed statistics]

If the customer is using Google to search for a business, a link in Google Maps will be shown on the first page of results. Here you will find an address, phone number, hours of operation, a website, photos and reviews. If a your business adds current photographs, it is more likely that customer will look at your website or call you.
Some customers’ first impression of a business is a photograph or the completeness and accuracy of the information provided. If you have not claimed your business properly, you do not have control of your presence on the Internet.

I focus on Google Maps, because the edits made here spread to Google Earth Pro and the Google search engine.

My Portfolio of Photographs on Google Maps shows my high quality photographs. As of January 22, 2023, I have about 100,000,000 views of almost 1500 photos of about 400 places. These numbers change daily. Some are the only photos for that location and / or have a large number views.
I have edited to locations of businesses as well as adding businesses and verifying if some even existed or have been closed for three or more years.
